A few days ago, P&G’s Old Spice launched a series of Manmericals on their YouTube channel. These Manmercials are hilarious 15 to 30 second ads for their product with a new tagline – Different Scents for Different Gents. It exploits every ‘man’ stereotypical association and desire possible:
- “Don’t smell like sunsets and baby powder. Smell like jet fighters and punching”
- At the end of one ad, the actor takes a bite out of his golf club and declares “For men”
Same funny, fantasy approach as Unilever’s Axe Deodorant, but manlier. Jet fighter manlier.
